Wanderer's Belt

Free Belt Crochet Pattern

Size: any

Materials Red Heart (affiliate link) Cordial bulky weight yarn (100% Polyester), 62 yards (57 meters)/100 grams (3.53 ounces), color Natural – 1 skein.

Hook: US K (6.5 mm)

Gauge is not important.

Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
2dc-cl - 2 DC Cluster:
Step 1: yo, insert hook in designated st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, 2 loops remain on hook
Step 2: yo, insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, 3 loops remain on hook
Step 3: yo, draw yarn through all loops on hook.

Belt

Crochet chain 16” (40 cm) long or to desired length.
Row 1: 2 dc into 4th chain from hook, turn.
Row 2: ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, 1 dc into ch-3, turn.
Row 3: ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 3 dc into next dc, 1 dc into ch -2, turn.
Row 4: ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, ch 2, skip 1 dc, 1 dc into next dc, 1 dc into ch-2, turn.
Row 5: ch 2 (counts a 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc into next dc, 1 dc into ch-2, turn.
Repeat row 5 40 times or to desired length. (The size of the belt with this number of rows is 34” (87 cm)
Row 46: ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, 2dc-cl into ch-2, 1 dc into next dc, 1 dc into ch-2, turn.
Row 47: ch 2, 1 dc into next dc, 2dc-cl into next 2 dc, 1 dc into ch-2, turn.
Row 48: ch 2, 2dc-cl into next 2 dc.
Work ch for 16” (40 cm) or to desired length. Tie off.

Finishing
Thread thin silk scarf through the holes of the belt.
