Dress

The dress is worked from the top to the bottom back and forth with the back seams. However, the bottom of the dress skirt can be worked in rounds to avoid the necessity of sewing a back seam. The front of the dress, sleeves and skirt are decorated with eyelets. The sleeve increases are made by eyelets (no k2tog after yo).

With MC cast on 46 sts and purl 1 row.
Divide stitches as follows: 1 edge st, 5 st (right back), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 10 sts (right sleeve), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 10 sts (front), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 10 sts (left sleeve), 1 st (raglan line, place marker), 5 sts (left back), 1 edge st.
Work stockinette st pattern for 18 rows increasing by 8 sts (double increase at the raglan sts)  in each odd row as follows: M1, k1, M1 at the raglan st.

AT THE SAME TIME
Work eyelets on the front (see chart below)

AT THE SAME TIME
Work eyelets on the sleeves (see chart below)

Divide for sleeves
Row 19: Work right back sts, transfer right sleeve sts to a length of yarn, work front sts, transfer left sleeve sts to a length of yarn, work left back stitches.

Continue to work bodice back and forth for 6 more rows. Work 3 rows with MC and 3 rows with CC
Next row: increase for skirt as follows sl1, *yo, kf&b (knit into front and back of the st), repeat to the end of the row increasing the amount of sts 3 times.

Work 26 more rows of stockinette st.
Work eyelets following the chart for the front for 16 rows.
With CC work 3 rows of stockinette and 3 rows of garter st
Row 1: knit
Row 2: purl
Rows 3-6: knit
Bind off

Sleeve

 Sleeves are worked in rounds.
Transfer sleeve sts from the yarn to the needles. Work stockinette st for 4 rounds.
Change to CC and work 2 more rounds of stockinette and 4 rounds of garter st.
Bind off

Finishing:
Sew the back seam from the bottom of the dress leaving 7" (18 cm) opening for the zipper.
Install a zipper.
With CC pick up and knit sts along the neckline and knit 2 rows (1 garter ridge). Bind off.

Enjoy!
