Two-Tone Snood

Difficulty level: ** Easy

Free Cowl Knitting Pattern

FInished size: 16 (40 cm) wide (when folded in half, flat), and 16 (40 cm) high.

Materials:
Lion Brand (affiliate link) Wool-Ease worsted weight yarn, color 152 Oxford Grey - 197 yards (180 meters) /85 gr (3 oz) - 1 ball (A).
Lion Brand (affiliate link) Wool-Ease aran weight yarn, color 151 Grey Heather - 197 yards (180 meters) /85 gr (3 oz) - 1.5 balls (B).

Needles: circular US  # 8 (5.0 mm) 24" (60 cm)

Gauge: 15 sts x 22 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm)

Directions:

With color A cast on 120 sts, join and continue to work in rounds.
Rounds 1-2: knit
Round 3: *k2tog, yo*, repeat across the round.
Rounds 4-5: knit.
Rounds 6-7: knit.
Round 8: with color B *k4, sl 1 wyib (with yarn in the back)*, repeat across the round.
Rounds 9-11: *p4, sl1 wyib*, repeat across the round.
Repeat rounds 6-11 nineteen times or to a desired length working rounds 6-7 with yarn A and rounds 8-11 with yarn B.
Round 120-121: with yarn A knit
Round 122: *k2tog, yo*, repeat across the round.
Rounds 123-124: knit. Bind off.

Finishing:
Fold the edges along the eyelet rounds on each end and slipstitch in place.

I realize that "Snood" has apparently taken on a new meaning lately, but in reality this is NOT a snood - however, it IS a gorgeous cowl!
