Do not take the working piece off the needles and do not cut yarn. Block the working piece.

Using the cast-on tail, sew the back seam up.

Transfer the sts to the dpn needles, distribute the sts evenly. Join the work into round by knitting the last and the first sts of the row together. = 84 sts

Work 6 rounds of 1x1 rib. Bind off. Cut yarn.

This is a question about the Chevron Jacket matching this skirt but the question is the same. How do you CO 89st knit in cheveron patt for 35 rows...change to knit rib over 75st with no decreases?

The chevron pattern itself automatically decreases. The last row of the pattern you knit will be 75 stitches.

The pattern says:
Needles: 1 (2.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

I tend to knit loose and usually use smaller needles. But you should choose the size, which allows you to achieve the correct gause.

This is a bit difficult. Size one or two needles to knit with sport yarn or #4 is impossible. What is up with this? What other comments have there been? I'd like to know.
