Directions

The pants are worked top-down in rounds without seams.

Cast on 94 (102, 114, 122, 134) sts and purl one row, join and continue to work in rounds.
Divide stitches as follows: k 1 (center of the back, beginning of the round, place marker) k 20
(22, 25, 27, 30) p 1, k 4 (cable on 4 sts), p 1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), k 1 (center of the front, place marker), k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), p 1, k 4 (cable on 4 sts), p 1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30).
Work 4 rounds.

For sizes 4, 6, and 8 only

Work a set of short rows to shape the back of the pants:
Starting from the center of the back:
Short row 1: k 10, wrap, turn
Short row 2: p 21, wrap, turn
Short row 3: k 26, wrap, turn
Short row 4: p 31, wrap, turn
Short row 5: k 36, wrap, turn
Short row 6: p 41, wrap, turn
Continue to work in rounds

Start working cable from round 5.
Work 44 (48, 52, 56, 60) rounds [11 (12, 13, 14, 15) cable repeats].
From round 49 (53, 57, 61, 65) begin to make increases at center stitches as follows: k 1 (back
center), M1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), p 1, C4F (cable on 4 st), p 1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), M1, k 1, M1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), p 1, C4F, p 1, k 20 (22, 25, 27, 30), M1.
Make increases in every odd round, 4 increases per round, 7 (8, 9, 10, 11) times, for a total of 14 (16, 18, 20, 22) rounds.

Divide for legs:
Starting from the back center stitch work to the center of the front (stop before the front center
st), transfer the rest of the stitches to a length of yarn, cast on 3 (3, 5, 5, 7) sts with single cast-
on, join with the back center st and continue to work one leg in rounds on DPN or circular
needles (using "magic loop" method).
Work 70 (76, 82, 88, 94) rounds more (19 cable repeats) or to desired length.
Work 6 rounds of stockinette (no cables). Cast off.

Second leg
Transfer stitches from the length of yarn, cast on 3 (3, 5, 5, 7) st with single cast on, join and
continue to work the leg in rounds the same way as the first leg.

Finishing
Fold waistband to WS and sew in position leaving an opening at center back to insert elastic.
Cut elastic to waist measurement and draw through waistband. Sew ends of elastic together
securely. Sew opening closed.

Fold bottom of leg and sew in position leaving an opening to insert elastic. Cut elastic to
ankle measurement and draw through cuff. Sew ends of elastic together securely. Sew opening
closed.

Enjoy!
