Free Doll Dress Knitting Pattern
Materials:Lion Brand Glamour acrylic yarn sport weight, 185 m (202 yds)/50 g, color 150 Platinum - 1 skein.
Needles:
4 (3.50 mm), 2 (2.75 mm) and 1 (2.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Gauge:20 st x 30 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm) for stocking stitch
Patterns:
Garter Stitch
all rows - knit sts
Stocking Stitch
1 row and all odd rows - knit sts
2 row and all even rows - purl sts
Rib:
1 k, 1 p
Directions
The dress is worked from the bottom up as one piece up to the armholes.
On size 4 needles cast on 92 sts (including edge stitches).
Change to size 2 needles and knit garter stitch for 8 rows (ruffle).
Row 9: Knit 3 together every 3 sts. There will be 32 sts left after this row.
Row 10 (wrong side): purl.
Rows 11-38: stocking stitch.
Rows 39-62: change to size 1 needles and knit rib k 1, p1. Cast off.
Finishing:
Join the back seam.
