Free Doll Dress Crochet Pattern

Materials: Aunt Lydia's crochet thread Size #10 pink - 2 balls.
Aunt Lydia's crochet thread Size #10 off-white - 1 ball.


Crochet hook 3 (3.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 24 dc x 12 rows = 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm)

Skirt
Skirt crocheted back and forth from the waist down.
Chain 60.
Row 1: 60 dc.
Row 2: *BPdc (back post double crochet), dc, FPdc (front post double crochet), dc*, repeat from * to *
Row 3: *BPdc, dc, FPdc, dc*, repeat from * to *.
Row 4 To make increase crochet 2 dc over single dc: *BPdc, 2 dc, FPdc, 2 dc*, repeat from * to *
Rows 5-8: *BPdc, 2 dc, FPdc, 2 dc*.
Rows 9-18: *BPdc, 3 dc, FPdc, 3 dc*.
Row 19: sc.
Row 20 with off-white thread: sc.
Row 21: *sc, ch 3, skip 1 sc*, repeat from * to *.
Row 22: *sc in the ch 3, ch 3*, repeat from * to *.
Tie off.

Bodice Back and front of the bodice is crocheted as one piece up to armholes, then front and backs are crocheted separately.
Row 1 (right side): crochet 58 dc over the top of the skirt.
Row 2: 58 dc.
Row 3: 27 dc, BPdc, dc in the space btw 2 dcs, BPdc, 27 dc.
Row 4: 27 dc, BPdc, 3 dc over 1 dc, BPdc, 27 dc.
Row 5: 27 dc, BPdc, 3 dc, BPdc, 27 dc.
Divide the dcs as follows: 15 dc for left back, 12 dc, BPdc, 3 dc, BPdc, 12 dc for front, 15 dc for right back.

Bodice Right Back
Rows 6-12: 12 dc.
To shape a neckline skip 5 dc, continue on the remaining 7 dc
Rows 13-14: 7 dc. Tie off.

Bodice Left Back
Crochet as right back.

Bodice Front
Row 6: 12 dc, BPdc, 3 dc, BPdc, 12 dc.
Row 7: 11 dc (decrease 1 at the beginning), 2 BPdc, 1 dc, 3 dc over 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 BPdc, 11 dc (decrease 1 at the end of the row).
Row 8: 10 dc, BPdc, 5 dc, BPdc, 10 dc.
Row 9: 10 dc, BPdc, 7 dc, BPdc, 10 dc.
Row 10: 9 dc, BPdc, 7 dc, BPdc, 9 dc.
Row 11: 9 dc, BPdc, 9 dc, BPdc, 9 dc.
Row 12: 8 dc, BPdc, 9 dc, BPdc, 8 dc.
To shape a neckline skip 9 sts in the middle and continue left and write sides separately.
Row 13-15: 9 dc. Tie off.

Finishing:
Join shoulder seams and back seam for 10 cm (4").

Button Bands:
Crochet 3 rows of the sc for the left back button band.
Crochet 1 row of the sc for the right back button band.
Row 2: Make 10 button holes as follows: *ch 4, 3 sc*.

Arm Bands:
Rows 1-3: crochet 46 dc along the armholes.
Row 4: *skip 1 st, shell of 5 dc in the next st, skip 1 st, 1 sc in the next st* repeat from * to *.
Row 5: with off-white thread *ch 3, sc in the 3rd dc of the shell, ch 3, sc in the sc from the prev row* repeat from * to *.
Row 6: *sc in the ch 3, ch 3*, repeat from * to *.
Tie off.

Bodice Ruffle: (see photo below).
Row 1: *sc in the FPdc, ch 3, skip 1 sc*, repeat from * to *.
Row 22: *sc in the ch 3, ch 3*, repeat from * to *.
Tie off.

Neck Band:
Row 1: sc.

Sew on 10 buttons.
