Fingering weight wool yarn brown - 100 gr
Fingering weight wool yarn light brown - 100 gr
Hook: D (3.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Gauge:
8 V-groups x 12 rows = 4' (10 cm)
Pattern: see Drawing 1 below.
Row 1: ch 3, skip 2 sts, *1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc in the next st, skip 2 sts*, repeat from * till *
Row 2: ch 2, skip 2 st, *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in the ch 1 of the previous row, skip 2 sts*, repeat from * till *
Repeat row 2.
Directions:
Crochet chain 74.
Crochet pattern with 23 repeats for 52" (132 cm). Tie off.
Ruffle: see Drawing 2 below.
Crochet 9 rows of ch 6 arcs according to the drawing.
Rows 1-3: dark brown. In the 1 st row crochet arcs over each ch1. In the 2nd row double the amount of arcs crocheting 2 arcs over 1 arc from the previous row. Rows 3-9 crochet the same amount of arcs as in the 2nd row. Crochet 2 arcs over 1 arc in the shawl's angles.
Rows 4-6: brown
Rows: 7-9: light brown.
