August 7, 2012 why did you do you ch3 on sc row and having 80 sts, i find I have 39 ch 3 design

February 9, 2013 yes you will have 39, 3dc. because you do one & then repeat 38 times. The ch3 is at the beginning of row 6, that row is all dc, not sc.

Elaine Phillipes. sorry to bother you, but it just can't seem to make this skirt to work I had to go to fingering yarn and a J hook to get the gauge, but you keep telling me to repeat rows 6-7-8 38 tims, how can this be when I keep increasing sts? Please tell me how many 3dc in i st. should I end up in the bottom row of the skirt, or just tell me how wide to make the top band and end up with the width of the bottom skirt, this might help me.
