The pattern repeats every 8 rows. Then you need to work 80 rows, or 10 pattern repeats.

I've made two: one black and one white. I love it. I left the insets out of the front and the sleeves/caps on the second one and I like it even better...(essentially doing the back for the front also) Always get compliments on them.

Love this pattern, enjoying making it. Please correct me if I am wrong but I found I had to change the first row of pattern to "5ch,1sc in 3rd DC of 5-DC, 5ch, 1 sc into next arch. Was having difficulty getting the correct amount of patterns horizontally (M-8) and figured this out from the picture of the pattern. Thanks again and keep on crocheting

This will sound silly-but is it the 350yd size balls or the 100yd size balls of thread?

It says multipes of 16 plus 5.
Measure your or whomever widest part either abreast or hips, make your chain that many inches long...
Remember your multiple plus 5.

No matter clothing you are making, I always start with inches of my wides area and start with that..
Or for a more fitted top I get the inches of hips waist and but then rapper the body to fit those inches, measuring often to keep your garment the inches you need, by increasing or decreasing in the areas you need bigger or smaller...
Or like I said in the beginning start with the largest area and make the whole thing in those inches for a fuller box fit... I hope this make sense to you.. I am not the person who wrote this pattern, I'm just trying to help you out so you'll know how to modifi patterns in the future.
