Free Doll Hat and Scarf Crochet Pattern

Hat

Materials: Bernat Softee Baby 100% Arcrylic yarn, color - white, 140 g / 361 m (395 yds) - 0.5 skein.
Bernat Baby Sport 100% Acrylic yarn, color - light lilac, 300 g / 875 m (957 yds) - small amount
Lion Brand Fun Fur 100% Polyester yarn, color lilac, 64 yards (59 meters) / 50 gr - 1 skein

Hook: E (3.50 mm)

Gauge: 9 dc = 2” (5 cm)

Directions:
The hat is worked from the top down in rounds.
With white yarn, ch4, join with a slip stitch in first chain to form a ring.
Round 1: ch2 (counts as hdc), 8 hdc into the ring, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 9 hdc
Round 2: ch2 (counts as hdc), hdc in the same st, 2 hdc in each st of the round,  join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2.= 18 hdc
Round 3: ch2, *2 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next  st., repeat from * across the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 27 hdc
Round 4: ch2, 1 hdc in the same st, *1 hdc in the next 2 sts, 2 hdc in the next  st., repeat from * across the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 36 hdc
Round 5: ch2, 1 hdc in the same st, *3 hdc in the next 3 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, repeat from * across the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 45 hdc
Round 6: ch2, hdc in the same st, *4 hdc in the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, repeat from * across the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 54 hdc
Round 7: ch2, hdc in each st of the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch2. = 54 hdc
Rounds 8,9,10: ch1, sc in each st of the round, join with a slip stitch to top of the ch1.
Round 11: with lilac yarn, ch 1, sc in each st of the round, join.
Round 12; ch2, hdc in each st of the round. join
Round 13: ch1, sc in each st of the round. join
Round 14: ch1, sc in each st of the round. join
Round 15: with white yarn: ch1, sc in each st of the round, join
Round 16: ch2, hdc in each st of the round, join
Round 17: with lilac yarn: ch1, sc in each st of the round. join
Round 18: ch1, sc in each st of the round, join
Rounds19-20, with Fun Fur yarn sc in each st of the round. join. Tie off

Finishing

With Fun Fur yarn, work a ring of the sc on the top of the hat (surface crochet).

Scarf

Hook: J (5.5 mm)

Gauge is not important.

Directions

The scarf is worked sideways, each row with a different yarn.

Row 1:  with white acrylic yarn leave a tail of 2", chain 45 sts, tie off, leaving a tail of 2".
Row 2: with lilac acrylic yarn leave a tail of 2", 45 dc, tie off, leaving a tail of 2".
Work 6 more rows like row 2, using different yarns.
Trim the fringe.
