Chain Scarf with Crochet Fringe V. 2.0

Free Crochet Scarf Pattern

Length: 48" (120 cm)
Width:  7" *(18 cm)

Materials: Schoppel (affiliate link)-Wolle Zauberball self-striping sock yarn, color 1508, 459 yds (420 m) / 100 gr - 1 ball

Hook: E (3.5 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 1 sc, ch 9 = 1" (2.5 cm)

Directions:
The scarf is worked lengthwise with each fringe piece crocheted at the end of each row.
Chain 460.
Row 1: ch 1, sc in the 2nd ch, ch 9, skip 9 ch, *1 sc, ch 9, skip 9 ch* repeat to the end of the row (total repeats 45), 2sc, ch 25, 3dc shell in the 5th st from the hook, ch 4, sl st to the same st, ch 20, turn.
Row 2: 2 sc, ch 9, *sc, ch 9* repeat to the end of the row, 2dc, ch 25, 3dc shell in the 5th st from the hook, ch 4, sl st to the same st, ch 20, turn.
Rows 3-5: repeat row 2.
Row 6: 2 sc, ch 4, *sc, ch 9*, repeat to the end of the row,  ch 4, 2 dc, ch 25, 3dc shell in the 5th st from the hook, ch 4, sl st to the same st, ch 20, turn.
Rows 7-10: repeat row 6.
Rows 11-60: repeat rows 1-10. Tie off



To change the length, simply increase or decrease the number of repeats (of 1 sc and ch 9). To change the width, increase or decrease the amount of rows worked.
