Materials: La Boheme Fiesta aran weight yarn (Mohair, Rayon, Nylon, Wool) 151 m (165 yds) / 113 g, color 2554 Shelled Pecan - 1 skein. (A)

Rayon Boucle Fiesta worsted weight rayon yarn 219 m (240 yds) / 113 g, color 2119 Onyx - 1 skein. (B)


Needles: 8 (5.00 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge for stockinette stitch: 11 st = 4" (10 cm)

Notions: tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

k -knit

p - purl

st, sts - stitch, stitches

Pattern Notes:

Stockinette Stitch:
Row 1 (RS and all RS rows): knit
Row 2 (WS and all WS rows): purl

Reverse stockinette stitch:

Row 1 (RS and all RS rows). purl
Row 2 (WS and all WS rows). knit
Repeat row 1 and 2.

Edge stitches: slip the first st and purl the last one.

Short Overview of the Pattern:

The scarf is worked sideways, rows in color A are worked in stockinette, rows in color B in reverse stockinette, thus forming stripes of different color and texture.

Scarf:
With yarn A cast on 160 sts
Row 1 (RS): sl 1, knit 158, p1.

Row 2: sl 1, p159.
Rows 3 and 5 (RS, yarn B): sl 1, p159

Rows 4 and 6 (WS, yarn B): sl 1, knit 158, p1.
Rows 7 and 9 (RS, yarn A): sl 1, knit 158, p1.

Rows 8 and 10 (WS, yarn A): sl 1, p159.


Repeat rows 3-10 five more times, changing yarn every 4 rows.
Repeat rows 3-8 one more time.
Rows 55-56 (yarn A): Repeat rows 1-2. Cast off.

Finishing:
waeve in all yarn ends. Block the scarf.
