Free Doll Sweater Knitting Pattern

Materials: Red Heart Super Saver 100% acrylic yarn worsted weight, color - Watercolor, 223 m (244 yds)/141 g - 1 skein.

Needles:
4 (3.50 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Gauge:14 st x 17 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm)

Patterns:

Rib:
1 k, 1 p

Stocking Stitch
1 row and all odd rows - knit sts
2 row and all even rows - purl sts

Front
Cast on 30 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit rib for 4 rows.
Knit stocking stitch for 26 rows.
Row 31: cast off 8 sts in the middle of the front and continiue knitting the left and right parts of the front separately.
Row 33: decrease 1 st to shape the neckline.
Rows 34-36: stocking stitch. Cast off.

Back
Cast on 30 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit rib for 4 rows.
Knit stocking stitch for 4 rows.
From row 9 divide the stitches into 2 parts and continue each part separately.
Knit 26 rows of stocking stitch.
Row 32: cast off 4 sts to shape a neckline.
Row 33: decrease 1 st to shape the neckline.
Rows 34-36: stocking stitch. Cast off.

Sleeve
Cast on 20 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit rib for 4 rows. In the last row add evenly 10 sts
Knit stocking stitch for 18 rows.
Cast off.

Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Pick up 36 sts along the neckline and knit 10 rows of rib for the collar. Cast off.
Join side seams and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
Sew 4 sew-on snaps to the back opening.
