Free Shawl Knitting Pattern
You can purchase this shawl from my Etsy shop.
This pattern is a great project for knitters who want to explore two-color brioche. The shawl is made with a combination of two-color brioche and two-color garter stitch, creating bold vertical stripes and rich texture. The pattern is worked flat from the central tip up, gradually expanding to shape the wings. It is reversible, so there's no right or wrong way to wear it. The finished shawl is warm, soft, and long enough to wrap or drape in different ways.
Skills required: To knit this shall/scarf, you need to know how to knit 2-color brioche stitch and 2-color garter stitch.

Two-Color Brioche Stitch – Basic Instructions
These instructions are included as a guide to the technique, and as instructions for swatching.
A single brioche row is worked in two passes, one in light color (LC) and the other in dark color (DC). Both colors are worked in one direction, then the work is turned and both colors are worked in the other direction, one by one. The light side (LS) of the project is first worked in light color (LC) yarn, then in dark color (DC) yarn. (The LS of the work is where brioche knit (brk) stitches are worked in light color (LC) yarn.

Short Overview of the pattern
The shawl is worked in a combination of 2-color brioche stitch and 2-color garter stitch, from the bottom up. It is started at the pointy end and is widened, while working up to the top. Can be made any size and width. The shawl on a picture is of a smaller height and looks more like a scarf.
