Free Scarf Knitting Pattern
Introducing the Two-Color Brioche Scarf Pattern – a great starting point for mastering two-color brioche knitting.
Finished size: 9.5" x 69" (24 cm x 175 cm)
Materials:
Elann (affiliate link) Peruvian Highland Wool worsted weight yarn 109 yards (100 meters) / 50 g color Deep Blue Sea - 5 skeins (A)
Elann (affiliate link) Peruvian Highland Wool worsted weight yarn 109 yards (100 meters) / 50 g color Light Grey Heather - 5 skeins (B)
Needles:
Size 4 (3.5 mm) double-pointed or circular needles
Gauge:
16 sts = 4" (10 cm)
Directions
With color A cast on 41 sts.
Row 1 (A): *p 1, sl1, yo*, repeat to the end of the row, end with p 1. Do not turn, slide work to the other end of the needle.
Row 1 (B): sl1, *k2tog (sl st and yo), sl 1, yo*, repeat to the end of the row, end with sl 1 (last st). Turn.
Row 2 (A): k 1, *sl 1, yo, k2tog (sl st and yo)*, repeat to the end of the row. End with sl 1, yo, k 1. Do not turn, slide work to the other end of the needle.
Row 2 (B): sl 1, *p2tog (sl st and yo), sl 1, yo*, repeat to the end of the row. End with p2tog, sl last st. Turn.
Row 3 (A): p 1, *sl 1, yo, p2tog (sl st and yo)*, repeat to the end of the row. End with sl 1, yo, p 1. Do not turn, slide work to the other end of the needle.
Row 3 (B): sl 1, *k2tog (sl st and yo), sl 1, yo*, repeat to the end of the row, end with k2tog, sl last st. Turn.
Repeat rows 2-3 until the desired length.
Cast off with color A.
