Materials: 100% wool lace weight yarn 1613 m/100g - 1 skein.

Needles: 3 (3.25 mm)

Gauge: 1 repeat of the main pattern blocked = 4 cm (1.6")

Garter Stitch
all rows - knit sts

Main Lace Pattern:
Multiple of 6 + 7
Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7 : 1 k, yo, *ssk, 1 k, k2tog, yo, 1 k, yo*, repeat from * to *, ssk, 1 k, k2tog, yo, 1 k.
Row 2 and all even rows: purl.
Row 9: 2 k, *yo, k3tog, yo, 3 k*, repeat from * to *, yo, k3tog, yo, 2 k.
Rows 11, 13, 15 and 17: 1 k, k2tog, *yo, 1 k, yo, ssk, 1 k, k2tog*, repeat from * to *, yo, 1 k, yo, ssk, 1 k.
Row 19: k2tog, yo, *3 k, yo, k3tog, yo*, repeat from * to *, 3 k, yo, ssk.
Repeat rows 1-20.

Lace Edging:
Multiple of 10.
Row 1: *2 k, yo, ssk, yo, k3tog, yo, k2tog, yo, 1 k*, repeat from * to *
Row 2 and all even rows: purl.
Row 3: *3 k, yo, ssk, 1 k, k2tog, yo, 2 k*, repeat from * to *.
Row 5: *4 k, yo, k3tog, yo, 3 k*, repeat from * to *.
Rows 7, 9 and 11: *k3tog, 3 k, yo, 1 k, yo, 3 k*, repeat from * to *.
Row 12: purl.
Cast off using double strand of yarn to reinforce the edge.

Directions:
Cast on 103 sts (including edge sts)
Rows 1-6: garter stitch
Row 7: 1 edge st, 8 st garter st, 13 pattern repeats + 7 sts, 8 sts garter st, 1 edge sts.
Knit the main lace pattern for 288 rows.
Rows 295-300: garter stitch. To adjust the number of stitches for the lace edging k2tog at the beginning of the row.
Rows 301-312: lace edging

Lace Edging:
To knit lace edging on the other side pick up 102 sts at the beginning of the shawl.
Rows 1-12: lace edging.

Finishing:
Block the shawl.
