Free Shawl Crochet Pattern

Tulip Reverie Shawl is scarf-like shawl featuring an eye-catching crochet border.

The basic shape of this shawl is a long, flat triangle, which means that the shawl can be wrapped or draped just like a scarf. The shawl is worked sideways, starting at one narrow end of the triangle, getting wider towards the middle and then narrowing again on the other side.

Size: width - 84" (210 cm), depth - 20" (50 cm)

Materials: Kauni (affiliate link) 8/2 Effektgarn 100% Wool sport weight yarn 440 yd (400 m)/100g, color EG - 2 skeins.

Hook: 7 (4.50 mm)

Hi. This is a really pretty pattern but I'm stuck after the first 2 rows! Are you supposed to turn your work at the end of each row or keep working round in the same direction? I don't know how to follow charts! (I'm quite new to crochet so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question!). Thanks very much, Gail

Yes Gail you turn your work at the end of every row. The pattern also has a the line by line written instructions. I have been crocheting for 40 years and the charts confuse me too. I hope this helps. Happy crocheting!
