Free Doll Collar Knitting Pattern

Materials: Comfy Fingering by Knit-Picks fingering weight yarn, 75% Pima Cotton, 25% acrylic, 218 yards (199 meters)/50 grams, color white - about 15 yards, or leftovers of any fingering-weight yarn.

Needles: US #1 (2.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 26 sts x 36 rows = 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm), but not very important.

Abbreviations:
K – knit
P – purl
Yo – yarn over
RS – right side
WS – wrong side

Collar

The collar is worked in one piece in garter and stockinette stitches, yarn overs create increases and the lace pattern.

Cast on 100 stitches and knit 3 rows (garter st).
Row 4: bind off 30 stitches, knit 70
Row 5 (RS): bind off 30, knit 40, at the same time place markers on the 6th, 15th, 26th and 35th stitches.
Row 6 and all even rows through 12 (WR): purl
Row 7 and all odd rows through 13: knit, making yo before and after the marked stitches, in this way you add 8 stitches in each odd row.
Rows 14-16 knit.
Bind off. Weave in the yarn ends.
