Free Doll Dress Crochet Pattern

The dress is worked top down, back and forth with the seam in the back. Flounces are worked into the round yoke and skirt as-you-crochet.

Materials:
Vanna's Glamour by Lion Brand sport weight yarn (96% Acrylic, 4% Polyester), 202 yards (185 meters) / 50 gr, color 170 Topaz - 1.5 skeins
Starbella Flash by Premier Yarns aran weight flounce yarn (86% Acrylic, 14% Metallic), 33 yards (30 meters) / 100 gr - 0.5 skein.
8 small buttons.

Hook: D (3.25 mm)

Gauge: 7 sc = 1" (2.5 cm)

2-sc-cluster - insert hook into the stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through the stitch only, insert hook into the next stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through the second stitch only, yarn over again and draw yarn through all 3 loops on the hook, 1 stitch decrease.
3-sc-cluster - insert hook into the stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through the stitch only, insert hook into the next stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through the second stitch only, insert hook into the next stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through the third stitch only, yarn over again and draw yarn through all 4 loops on the hook, 2 stitches decrease.

Dress

Round Yoke

Chain 37.
Row 1 (RS): ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and 1 ch), 1 dc in the 7th ch from the hook, 1 dc in the next chain, *ch 1, skip the next ch, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, repeat from * 11 times. Turn.

Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in the next dc, *ch 1 over ch-1-space, 2 dc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * 11 times, ch 1 over ch-1-space, 1 dc in the last dc. Turn.

Row 3: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), * ch 1 over ch-1-space, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, repeat from * 11 times, ch 1 over ch-1-space,1 dc in each of the last 3 dc. Turn.

Row 6: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in the next dc, *ch 2 over ch-2-space, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, ch 3 over ch-2-space, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, repeat from * 11 times, ch 1 over ch-1-space, 1 dc in the last dc. Turn.

Row 7: ch 1, work sc in each dc and under each ch attaching flounce yarn as-you-crochet. For this, align the flounce yarn with the edge of the round yoke, with flounce yarn overlapping the edge by 1" (2.5 cm). Insert the hook into the opening in the flounce yarn and through the stitch you are about to crochet, yarn over, pull the loop and work a single crochet. Repeat for each dc and work 3 sc on ch-3-space and 2 sc on ch-2-space, 1 sc on ch-1-space. End with 1 sc into the last dc with no flounce yarn. Cut the flounce yarn leaving 1.5" (4 cm) on the end.


Divide for sleeves:

Divide the sts as follows: 1 sc (edge), 17 sc (right back), place marker (pm), 16 sc (armhole), pm, 34 sc (front), pm, 16 sc (armhole), pm, 17 sc (left back), 1 sc (edge).


Bodice:

Work the backs and the front separately. Work 7 rows of sc in both backs and front separately as follows:


Left Back:

Rows 8 - 14: ch 2 (counts as 1 sc), 1 sc in each of the next 17 sc. Turn.
After the 14th row finished, cut yarn.


Front: holding the work with WS facing, fasten yarn after the second marker.

Rows 8-14: ch 2 (counts as 1 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 33 sc. Turn. Cut yarn after row 14.


Right Back with button loops: holding the work with WS facing, fasten yarn.

Rows 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14: ch 2 (counts as 1 sc), 1 sc in each of the next 17 sc. Turn.

Row 13: ch 3 (button loop), 1 sc in each of the next 18 sc. Turn.

In row 15 we connect the back and front parts and go on working on bodice as one part:
