Free Cowl Knitting Pattern

The cowl is worked in rounds, without a seam. This is a very quick project, and most knitters should be able to accomplish it in under an hour, depending on how fast they knit. Depending on the yarn, it looks great on both men and women.

Materials:
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quilk Prints super bulky weight yarn, 106 yards (97 meters) / 170 gr, color 501 Sequoia - 1 ball

Needles: circular US11 (8 mm) 16" (40 cm) long

Gauge: 9 sts = 4" (10 cm)

Pattern:
Ripple stitch in rounds. Multiple of 8 + 6
Round 1: k6, *p2, k6 repeat from * to the end
Round 2: p1, *k4, p4 repeat from * to the last 5 sts, end k4, p1
Round 3: p2, *k2, p2 repeat from * to the end
Round 4: k1, *p4, k4 repeat from * to the last 5 sts, end p4, k1
Round 5: k2, *p2, k6 repeat from * to the last 4 sts, end p2, k2
Round 6: k6, *p2, k6 repeat from * to the end
Round 7: p1, *k4, p4 repeat from * to the last 5 sts, end k4, p1
Round 8: p2, *k2, p2 repeat from * to the end
Round 9: k1, *p4, k4 repeat from * to the last 5 sts, end p4, k1
Round 10: k2, *p2, k6 repeat from * to the last 4 sts, end p2, k2

Repeat from round 1.

Directions:
Cast on 46 sts, join and continue to work in rounds. Work the pattern 35 rounds. You will end with round 5 of the pattern. Bind off.

Finishing
Weave in the ends.
