Summer Dress with the Round Yoke

Size: S (M, L)

Chest: 34 [38, 42] inches (86 [96, 106] cm)

Materials: Muse by Stacy Charles 163 yards (149 meters) /50 gr, color - shade - 6 skein

Needles: One pair of circular needles US#2 (2.75mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge
For Seed Stitch
20 sts x 24 rows = 10cm (4" x 4")

For Ribbing 1x1
23 sts x 32 rows = 10cm (4" x 4")

Patterns:

Ribbing 1 x 1 in rounds:
all rounds *k1, p1* repeat to the end

Ribbing 1x1 in rows:
Row 1: (k1, p1)* repeat to the end of the row
Row 2: (p1, k1)* repeat to the end of the row

Seed Stitch in rounds:
Round 1: *k, p* repeat to the end
Round 2: *p, k* repeat to the end

Directions

The dress is worked from the top to the bottom in rounds without seams.

Round Yoke:

Cast on 138 (150, 162) sts, close into a circle, mark the beginning
Make 10 rounds in 1 x 1 ribbing
Round 11:  *p2, m1* to the end. Make 68 (76, 80)  sts in all, there will be 206 (226, 242) sts.
Round 12: purl all sts
Rounds 13-22 work ribbing pattern
Round 23: *p3, m1* to the end. Make 68 (74, 80) sts in all, there will be 274 (300, 322) sts
Round 24: purl
Rounds 25-34: work ribbing pattern
Round 35: *p3, m1* to the end. Make 86 (92, 96) sts in all, there will be 360 (392, 418) sts.
Round 36: purl
Rounds 37- 46: work ribbing pattern

Divide the sts into the following portions, starting from the marker:
120 (130, 138) sts for the back (leave on needles)
60 (64, 69) sts for the left sleeve (transfer to a thread and tie the ends)
120 (132, 142) sts for the front (transfer to another piece of thread and tie the ends)
60 (64, 69) sts for the right sleeve (transfer to the third piece of thread)

Starting from the marker, work in ribbing 120 (130, 138) sts, turn back, work 120 (130, 138) sts in ribbing to the marker. Work in this way, to and fro, 11 rows.

Bodice:
Work in 1 x 1 ribbing in the rounds
Round 1: work 120 (130, 138) sts of the back, cast on 6 sts, work 120 (132, 142) sts of the front, cast on 6 sts, close the round
Round 2: work 123, (133, 141) sts, place an additional marker for the side seam, work 126 (138, 148) sts, place another marker for the second side seam, work 3 sts
Rounds 3-8: ribbing
Rounds 9-44: work ribbing 1 x 1, decreasing by 1 st in each row at side seam markers (decrease a total of 2 sts in each round)
Rounds 45-124: work ribbing 1 x 1

Skirt:
Work seed stitch pattern in rounds
Round 125: work seed stitch, evenly adding 72 sts.
Rounds 126-179: seed stitch
Cast off
If you prefer to have the skirt shorter or longer, adjust the number of rows.

Sleeves:

Make one sleeve at a time
Transfer 60 (64, 69) sts from thread to needles. Pick up 26 sts along the back part and over the underarm sts
Work 4 rounds in ribbing.
