Broken Rib Headband

Free Headband Knitting Pattern

Materials:

Debbie Mumm Traditions worsted weight yarn, color Robins Egg 136 m (149 yd) / 80g - 1 skein.

Needles: #7 (4.5 mm)

Gauge: 18 sts = 4" (10 cm)

Directions:

Cast on 30 sts

Row 1 (right side): slip1, p6, k1, *p2, k2* repeat 3 times, p2, k1, p7

Row 2: slip 1, k6, p1, *k2, p2* repeat 3 times, k2, p1, k7

Rows 3 and 5 like row 1

Rows 4 and 6 like row 2

Row 7: slip1, p6, k1,*k2, p2* repeat 3 times, k3, p7

Row 8: slip 1, k6, p1, *p2, k2* repeat 3 times, p3, k7

Rows 9 and 11 like row 7

Rows 10 and 12 like row 8

Repeat rows 1 - 12 eight times (96 rows), or as many times as the desired lenght. Cast off.

Block the work.

Sew the short edges. Fold the long edges back to meet in the center and sew together.
