Materials:
Lion Brand Moonlight Mohair bulky weight yarn, color 202 Tundra, 50 g / 75 m (82 yards) - 10 skeins (A)
Elann.com, Peruvian Highland Wool worsted weight yarn, color 500 black, 50 g / 100 m (109 yards) - 2 skeins (B)

Needles:  circular 4 (3.75 mm) 60 cm (24"),  10 (6.0 mm) 60cm (24"), 2 pairs of 10 (6.0 mm) (21")  OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 12 sts x 12 rows = 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) for mohair yarn.

Patterns:

Rib: 1k, 1p

Stocking Stitch
In circular knitting, all rows knit sts

Directions:

This sweater is worked as one piece, bottom up

With black wool yarn (B) cast on 112 sts on 4 needles. Place marker for the beginning and join. Knit rib. Knit 56 sts, place the second marker for center of rnd, knit rib to the end. Work rib for 16 rounds. Move markers with every round to mark the beginning and the center.
Change needles to 10 (6.0 mm) needles and knit stocking stitch - all k sts with mohair (A). Knit for 45 rounds. Move markers with every round to mark the beginning and the center.

Divide for armholes
In the 46th rnd: work to 4 sts before the beginning marker, bind off next 6 sts for underarm. Go on making the 47th rnd, work to 2 sts before the central marker, bind off next 6 sts for underarm. Finish the round. There must be 48 sts on the back and 52 sts on the front. Place markers on the first and last sts of the front, and on the first and last sts of the back.

Sleeves
With the circular needles #4 (21") cast on 22 sts with wool yarn (B). Place marker for the beginning and join. Work rib for 8 rounds.
Change needles to 10 (6.0 mm) needles and knit stocking stitch - all k sts with mohair (A).

Make 1 st before and after the marker (2sts in a round) in the following rounds: 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48.

Work 70 rounds. There must 46 sts. In 71st rnd work to 3 sts before the marker, bind off the next 6 sts for underarm. Place markers in the first and last sts.

Yoke
With longer circular needle #10, work across 40 sleeve sts, 52 front sts, 40 sleeve stitches, 48 back sts, as established. Make three rounds.
In the 4th rnd *ssk, work to 2 sts before marker, k2tog; repeat 3 times more - 8 total sts decreased. Repeat decrease 3 times in every 4th round: 8, 12 and 16.
Then decrease every other round 9 times: 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 3rd short row, 7th short row (For short rows see instructions below).

Shaping the neck with short rows: in rnd 31 (1st short row) knit 5 sts after the first front marker. Place the front sts on an auxilary thread, leaving 5 sts before the second marker on the working needle. Turn and purl back (2nd short row).
Sort row 3: Knit, making decreases.
Short row 4: Purl back.
Short row 5: Knit.
Short row 6: Purl back.
Short row 7: Like short row 3.
Short row 8: Like short row 4.
Round 32: Knit all sts round. In the 32nd rnd there must be: sleeve - 14sts, front - 26 sts, sleeve - 14 sts, back - 22 sts.

In 33rd rnd change to #4 needles and black wool. Work rib for 16 rnds. Bind off.

Finishing
Sew underarm seams.
