Basic Sweater with Boatneck Collar

Free Sweater Knitting Pattern

Size: 12/14 (42/44)

Materials: Sirdar Yo-Yo yarn color 017 fudge 880 m (962 yd) / 400 g - 1 ball.

Needles:
4 (3.50 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Gauge: 12 st = 4" (10 cm)

Patterns:

Rib: 1k, 1p

Reverse Stocking Stitch
1 row and all odd rows - purl sts
2 row and all even rows - knit sts

Back
Pull the thread from the outside of the ball.
Cast on 70 sts (including edge stitches). The first stitch should be slipped to the right needle and the last stitch purled.
Knit rib for 4 cm (1.5").
Knit reverse stocking stitch for 58 cm (23").
Knit rib for 7 cm (2.75"). Cast off.

Front
Pull the thread from the inside of the ball.
Front is knitted the same as back.

Sleeve
Cast on 28 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit rib for 5 cm (2").
Knit reverse stocking stitch for 50 cm (20"). Add 1 sts on both sides in every odd row 15 times. There will be 58 sts (including edge stitches).
Cast off.

Finishing:
Join shoulder seams for 12.5 cm (5") from the side edge.
Join side seams and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
