Join the round with the slip stitch. Then chain as many stitches as you need to make a handle 5 - 5 1/2" long. With sc, fasten the chain to the other side of the upper edge of the bag. Turn. Work 1 sc in each chain of the handle.
Then continue along the sides of the bag: *sc in sc, skip the next sc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next sc, skip the next sc - repeat from * along the edge of 3 sides of the bag.
