Materials: Knit Picks Simply Cotton Organic Sport weight yarn (164 yards (150 meters) / 50 grams, 100% cotton), color Natural - 4 balls (shop for this yarn here!)

Hook: F (3.75 mm)

Gauge: 2 shells = 2" (5.0 cm)

sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
Shell - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into the ch-2 of the prev row shell.
W-Shell - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into the ch-2 of the prev row shell.

Cardigan

The cardigan is worked top down back and forth without seams. First, the back is worked top-down to the armholes, then from the top of the back the fronts are worked separately also top-down. At the armholes, the back and the fronts are joined to work the body as one piece. From the armholes, the sleeves are worked top-down in rounds. At the end, the button bands and collar are worked as one piece as well.

Back

Ch 51.
Row 1: ch 3, skip 2 ch, (Shell into the next ch, skip 4 ch) repeat 10 times, end with skip 2 ch, 1 dc.
Rows 2-12: ch 3, *Shell in shell of prev row, repeat 10 times, end with 1 dc in top of ch 3.
Row 13: ch 3, W-Shell in shell of prev row, *shell in shell of prev row, repeat 8 times, W-Shell in shell of prev row, 1 dc in ch-3.
Rows 14-16: ch 3, *Shell in shell of prev row, repeat 12 times, end with 1 dc in top of ch 3. Set aside.

Right Front

Secure the yarn to the top right end of the back.
Row 1: ch 3, *Shell into the same st as the shell of the 1st row of the back was worked, repeat 3 times, 1 dc between the 3rd and 4th shell of the back. Turn.
Rows 2-4: ch 3, *Shell in shell of prev row, repeat 3 times, 1 dc into the top of ch 3.
Row 5: ch 3, *Shell in shell of prev row, repeat 2 times, W-Shell into the next shell of prev row, 1 dc into the top of ch 3.

Sew on 5 small buttons.
