Free Cowl Knitting Pattern

The cowl is worked in rounds, without a seam. This is a very quick project, and most knitters should be able to accomplish it in under an hour, depending on how fast they knit. Depending on the yarn, it looks great on both men and women.

Materials:

Gauge: 9 sts = 4" (10 cm)

Pattern:
Ripple stitch in rounds. Multiple of 8 + 6
Round 1: k6, *p2, k6 repeat from * to the end
Round 2: p1, *k4, p4 repeat from * to the last 5 sts, end k4, p1

Using the yarn and needle called for yet the yarn label states to use a 13 needle and not an 11. With the 11 it is bulkier as the yarn is bulky

The yarn manufacturer's label "recommends" a needle size. There's no way the manufacturer can anticipate what the yarn will be used for, so always go by the pattern rather than the label.

This is a wonderful pattern! I have made several. It is easy and so much fun to see the ripple pattern take shape. I can't stop making them.
