American Girl Doll Summer Raglan Dress

Difficulty level: *** Intermediate

Free Doll Dress Crochet Pattern

This summer dress is part of a matched set of crochet summer dresses for a girl and her doll. I crocheted this set for my niece and she loved that she could match her doll!

The dress features a square opening and raglan-style sleeves. The closure is on the back. The dress is crocheted from top to bottom, back and forth and in rounds for the skirt. The skirt features a simple lace motif. I worked a different lace motif around the the hem and sleeves to create some frills.

I used a small amount of red yarn as an accent on the sleeves and hem. A red ribbon cinches the waist. Also, I used red buttons for the closure.

Is there a letter that is equal to the 1.65mm hook?

I was also confused, but was able to figure it out.
Row 9:ch 3, you then double crochet to the first raglan increase. In the first raglan increase hole you do 2 double crochets. Then you do 15 chain stitches. Then you do 2 double crochets in the next raglan increase. Those 15 chains you are making the bottom of the hole for the sleeve. Then you start the double crochets for the front of the dress. Do 2 double crochet in next raglan. You are now making the hole for the other sleeve bottom. Continue with what the patterns says When the pattern says skipping right and left sleeve stitches that is the top of the sleeve. Hope that makes sense

It means that you shouldn't skip 1 st for the ch 1, this is a raglan increase

I am very confused with row 9. Will someone please help me. There is 4 raglan increases but the directions seem like it only talks about 2. Not sure what they mean about skipping left sleeves and right sleeves!

What is the finished length of the skirt? What is the gauge for rows? Usually a pattern has both a stitch & row gauge.
