Free Doll Dress Knitting Pattern
Materials:Bernat Satin 100% acrylic yarn worsted weight, color - Wine Mist, 149 m (163 yds)/100 g - 1 skein.
Needles:
4 (3.50 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Gauge:16 st x 22 rows = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm) for stocking stitch

Rib:
1 k, 1 p
Stocking Stitch
1 row and all odd rows - knit sts
2 row and all even rows - purl sts
Front
Cast on 26 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit stocking stitch for 4 rows.
Row 5: cast off 3 sts at the beginning of the row.
Row 6: cast off 3 sts at the beginning of the row.
Knit stocking stitch for another 10 rows.
Row 17: cast off 8 sts in the middle of the front and continiue knitting the left and right parts of the front separately. There will be 6 sts on each side remaining.
Rows 18-24: stocking stitch. Cast off.
Right Back
Cast on 14 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit stocking stitch for 4 rows.
Row 5: cast off 3 sts at the beginning of the row.
Knit stocking stitch for another 15 rows.
Row 20: cast off 5 sts. There will be 6 sts on each side remaining.
Rows 21-24: stocking stitch. Cast off.
Left Back
Cast on 14 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit stocking stitch for 5 rows.
Row 6: cast off 3 sts at the beginning of the row.
Knit stocking stitch for another 14 rows.
Row 19: cast off 5 sts. There will be 6 sts on each side remaining.
Rows 20-24: stocking stitch. Cast off.
Skirt
Join the side seams of the backs and front.
Cast on 52 sts along the bottom of the back and front.
Rows 1-2: Rib 2 k, 2 p.
Row 3: increase for 1 st between each 2 k group.
Rows 4-10: 3 k, 2 p (even rows 3 p, 2 k)
Row 11: increase for 1 st in each 3 k group.
Rows 12-22: 4 k, 2 p (even rows 4 p, 2 k)
Row 23: increase for 1 st in each 4 k group.
Rows 24-30: 5 k, 2 p (even rows 5 p, 2 k). Cast off.
Sleeve
Sleeve is knitted from armwhole down.
Cast on 32 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit stocking stitch for 28 rows.
Decrease for 1 st on both sides in the 3rd, 11th, 17th and 23rd rows.
Cast off remaining 24 sts.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Pick up 48 sts along the neckline and knit 8 rows of rib for the collar. Cast off.
Join sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
Join the back seam of the skirt leaving 2.5 cm (1") open at the waist.
Sew 4 sew-on snaps to the back opening.
