Fisherman's Rib Scarf

Free Knitting Scarf Pattern

Materials: Dale of Norway Falk Dalegarn sport weight yarn 106m (109 yds)/50g - 5 balls.
Needles: 3 (3.25 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauge: 20 st = 4" (10 cm)

Pattern:

Fisherman's Rib:
Cast on even amount of stitches
Row 1: *1 k, 1 p* repeat from * to *
Row 2: 1 k1b (knit 1 below), 1 p
Row 3: Repeat row 2

Selvedge Sts

To make the edges of your work even and smooth 2 more stitches (selvedge stitches) are added. You should always slip the first stitch as if to knit and purl the last stitch. Please note that selvedge stitches are not counted in the pattern unless otherwise specified.

Directions:
Cast on 30 sts (including edge stitches).
Knit fisherman's rib pattern. Work until scarf measures 75" (190 cm).
Cast off.

Finishing:
Make fringe.
